Which Skincare Products Are Suitable for Oily Skin?

Oily skin needs proper care and one wrong move can worsen the situation. All the efforts you’ve put into responsible skincare will go down the drain. The products you use should control the sebum production without drying out the skin. Acne and pore blocks need the utmost attention. Keeping all this in mind, here are a few products that will help you combat the excess oil –

Acne control cleansers

The first things that your oily skin needs are less friction and chemicals. The face wash or cleanser you use must be mild and smooth on your skin. If it has ingredients like salicylic acid and hyaluronic acid, they will help in reducing the acne on the face. Mild cleansers will help to slowly remove the excess oil without irritating the breakouts and making them worse.

Alcohol-Free toners

Most of the people skip toners from their skincare regimen because they tend to label them ‘not of much use’. But toners do a lot to create uniform skin tone and reduce acne and oil production. Make sure that your toner is mild and doesn’t have alcohol in it. Alcohol tends to dry up the skin and irritate the acne so choose alternatives like ones infused with aloe or cucumber. Anything but alcohol.

Sunscreen

Irrespective of the season and the skin type, sunscreen should be a must-use product in female skincare. The harmful UV rays of the sun can damage the skin in more than one way and applying sunscreen will save you a lot of trouble. You can go for a good sunscreen with at least SPF 40 to see good results.

Clay masks

Clay masks help in fighting the whiteheads and blackheads that develop around the nose and chin areas. You might even find them over the forehead. When your pores are filled with excess sebum and end up blocked, these clay masks will help to clear the obstruction and give you clear skin.

Face wipes

You shouldn’t wash your face too often even if you have oily skin. Instead, you can keep some gentle face wipes near you and dab on the oil when you notice that your skin is shining with it. This way, you can prevent sebum accumulation and pore blockage.
